Privacy

This website is primarily an information website designed to help visitors learn about Glenaladale Apartments and, if they wish, proceed to Booking.com to check availability and make a reservation.

We do not take bookings or payments through this website and do not collect payment-card details through this website.

Our website hosting and security systems may process limited technical information, such as IP addresses, browser information and access logs, where necessary to operate and protect the website.

When you make a reservation through Booking.com, Glenaladale Limited receives the personal information necessary to administer your booking and provide your accommodation. This may include your name, contact details, dates of stay, number of guests and information you provide in connection with your reservation.

If you choose to provide information about accessibility or other particular requirements for your stay, we use that information only as necessary to respond to your request and provide your accommodation.

We use this information to fulfil your booking, communicate with you about your stay, operate our accommodation business and comply with our legal and accounting obligations.

Our lawful bases for doing so are the performance of our contract with you, compliance with legal obligations and our legitimate interests in operating and protecting our business.

We may share information where necessary with Booking.com, our IT and hosting providers, professional advisers and public authorities where required by law. Some of our service providers may process personal information outside the United Kingdom. Where this occurs, appropriate safeguards are used as required by UK data-protection law. We do not sell personal information.

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and to meet applicable legal, accounting and tax requirements.

Your rights

Under UK data-protection law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, and in some circumstances to receive a copy of it in a portable format.

You also have the right to object to certain processing of your personal information.

If you have a question about your information or wish to exercise your rights, please contact us using the email address above.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you believe your personal information has not been handled appropriately.

CCTV and video doorbell

External CCTV and a video doorbell are used at Glenaladale for the security of guests, the property and its surroundings, and for the prevention and investigation of crime or damage.

There are no surveillance cameras inside the guest accommodation.

Images may include guests, visitors and vehicles entering or leaving the property. Access to recordings is restricted and footage will only be disclosed where reasonably necessary, for example to the police, insurers or other authorities in connection with an incident.

Recordings are normally retained for [INSERT RETENTION PERIOD] and then automatically deleted, unless footage needs to be preserved in connection with a particular incident.

Our lawful basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in protecting guests and the property.

The ICO treats commercial smart doorbells and CCTV as personal-data processing and recommends appropriate signage as well as privacy information.

We deliberately keep the use of cookies and tracking technologies on this website to a minimum.

At present, we do not use cookies for advertising, behavioural tracking or website analytics.

Our website or hosting infrastructure may use cookies or similar technologies where they are strictly necessary for the operation, security or delivery of the website. These do not require consent where the applicable legal exemption applies.

If we introduce analytics, advertising, embedded third-party services or other technologies in future, we will update this notice and obtain consent where required.
